Spirituality: Discovering What’s Right for You

spirituality: discovering what is right for you

Spirituality and spiritual wellness are important to your overall wellness and sense of wellbeing. While you’ve lived your life well, spiritual wellness is what pulls you through when life throws a few curve balls your way.

It’s also something no one else can determine for you. You have to discover your own sense of spirituality for yourself that nurtures your soul.

Here at The Esquiline, we understand how important personal reflection, soul nurturing, fulfilling your passion, and giving back is. That’s why we offer a wide range of resources to help you identify your own personal path.

We offer a pastoral care team in order to deliver daily mass, offer spiritual guidance (when requested), or to simply listen when the worries of the world are weighing heavy on your heart.

There are a number of prayer opportunities available at The Esquiline including the traditional prayer of daily mass and contemporary prayer through guided imagery. There are even opportunities for Catholic and Protestant worship services onsite.

Reconnecting with Your Passions

The Esquiline is ecumenical, meaning all faiths are welcome. We believe that it is important to take the opportunity to reconnect with what makes you feel centered whether it is God, nature, your family, or even yourself. In addition to daily mass and weekly Protestant services, we also offer morning prayer opportunities in the gardens along with space for personal meditation and reflection in several tranquil areas on our beautiful property. Whether it is retreats or Taize prayer, our pastoral care team is here for you in the good time and difficult times.

Another spiritual center for many people involves doing good deeds for others or giving back to the greater community. Volunteering is not always a religious act, though it is almost always spiritual. The Esquiline will support you in your efforts to give back to the community and offers organizational ways to do so as well.

The Circle of Life

Finally, we recommend the book: The Circle of Life by Joyce Rupp and Macrina Wiederkehr for anyone who is going through a spiritual rough patch or simply needs a little encouragement. Enjoy focusing on your spirituality, and discovering what’s right for you.
